‘Natural Reflections’ – An Exhibition of Fine Art Photographs by Mike Grandmaison. 2015. The exhibition is part of FlashFest, Winnipeg’s annual photography festival. Photographs will range in size from 24×16″ to 60×40″.

The exhibition runs from October 2 to 19, 2015 at Studio 24 Main Floor, Fort Garry Place, 81 Garry Street, Winnipeg, Manitoba.

Opening reception from 7:30 – 9 PM, Friday, October 2, 2015.

‘Prairie and Beyond ll’ – An Exhibition of Fine Art Photographs by Mike Grandmaison. 2014 The exhibition is part of FlashFest, Winnipeg’s annual photography festival. The images are based on Mike’s latest book ‘Mike Grandmaison’s Prairie and Beyond’.

The exhibition runs from October 1 to 31, 2014 at Aspire Studios, 289 King Street, Winnipeg, Manitoba.

Opening reception and Art Talk 7:30 PM, Friday, October 3, 2014.

‘Natural Reflections’ – An Exhibition of Fine Art Photographs. 2013 Tangled Tree Framing & Gifts, in conjunction with Word On The Water and Elizabeth Campbell Books, will host NATURAL REFLECTIONS, an exhibition of fine art photographs by Mike Grandmaison. Photographs will range in size from 24×16″ to 60×40″.

The exhibition will run from October 11 to November 9, 2013 at 137 Main Street South, in Kenora, Ontario on beautiful Lake of The Woods

Opening reception will be from 4-7 PM, Friday October 11, 2013.

A Mid-Show reception will take place from 1-3 PM, Friday October 25 to start off the ‘Word On The Water’ Book Festival.

‘Prairie and Beyond’ – An Exhibition of Photographs from The Canadian Prairie and Beyond. 2012 The Manitoba Arts Network is pleased to announce a major traveling exhibition of Mike Grandmaison’s photographs. The exhibition will launch at Pixels 2.1 Gallery in Winnipeg from September 7 to 29, 2012. This 38 print show will feature large scale photographs based in part on the book ‘Prairie and Beyond’, published earlier in the spring by Turnstone Press.

A public reception will take place Friday, September 7 from 7 – 9 PM at Pixels 2.1 Gallery located at 217 McDermot Ave. in Winnipeg, Manitoba (204-415-5480). All are welcome to attend.

The ‘Prairie and Beyond’ exhibition will travel throughout Manitoba from September 2012 to December 2014. To book this exhibition in your area, please visit The Manitoba Arts Network web site.

Exhibition – ’Small Works Gallery’ May 7-31, 2012 This gallery exhibition displays large format prints of some of Mike Grandmaison’s recent work as part of McNally Robinson Booksellers ’Small Works Gallery Series’ – a monthly exhibit of works from Winnipeg based artists on display in Prairie Ink Restaurant. This exhibition opens in conjunction with the launch of Mike’s new book ‘Mike Grandmaison’s Prairie and Beyond’, published by Turnstone Press. The launch begins at 7 PM on May 7, 2012.

Mike Grandmaison’s photography has been published worldwide in magazines, calendars and books. With a background in biology, he worked for the Canadian Forest Service in Edmonton and Winnipeg for 20 years. Since he turned to photography full time in 1996, he has published four collections of his natural landscape photography, and he recently openedThe Canadian Gallery in Winnipeg. Grandmaison has taught and lectured on photography and conducted nature-focused workshops for many years. In lush full colour, the images in Prairie & Beyond capture the vastness of sky and land with scenes of the elusive Northern Lights, misty fields at dawn, endless horizons, and the immense skies that define the prairie landscape.

Exhibition – Millennium Library Exhibition from January 6 – 31, 2012 Turnstone Press is pleased to announce an exhibition of 10 fine art prints by Winnipeg artist Mike Grandmaison. The images displayed offer a glimpse of the upcoming photographic book ‘Mike Grandmaison’s Prairie and Beyond’. The book will be available in late March.

The exhibition may be seen at the Millennium Library in downtown Winnipeg.

Exhibition – ‘Pixel Fusion – The Exhibition’. 2011 ‘Pixels – The Exhibition’ is held over for another week. It will end on Saturday July 2nd. This exhibition is the latest to be held at the new Pixels2Point1 Gallery in the historic ‘Exchange District’ in downtown Winnipeg. Pixels2Point1, also affectionately known as Pixels 2.1, is a gallery dedicated to displaying the works created by Manitoba photographers.

The exhibition was a great success, having welcomed hundreds of folks. Many new faces visited the gallery each day. As part of this exhibition, a number of the featured artists discussed how they approach their art. I presented ‘Impressions’, talking and showing images of a more abstract nature.

Exhibition – ‘Pixel Fusion – The Exhibition’. 2011 Pixels 2.1, a gallery dedicated to photography and the photographers of Manitoba, now features a group exhibition of its finest. ‘Pixel Fusion’, which runs from June 3 to 26, will feature 6 prints by each of the 12 photographers. Photographers exhibiting include Alexandra Morrison, Chris Brown, Chris Gray, Dennis Fast, Geoff Lussier, Hans Arnold, Mike Grandmaison, Mike Karakas, Keith Levit, Tami Reynolds, Rodney Brown and Anil Sud. A ‘Special Gala Opening’ where folks can meet the artists begins at 7:30 PM on Friday, June 3rd.

I printed 6 new pieces for this exhibition. They include: ‘Cascade’, ‘Boreal Forest Sunrise’, ‘Grasslands’, ‘Blue Rocks’, ‘Rainbow Falls Detail #2′ and ‘Autumn Mosaic’. After the group show, the images will become part of ‘The Canadian Gallery’ at 499 Notre Dame, Avenue in Winnipeg, MB.

On Thursday, June 23, I will discuss my approach to my fine art beginning at 6:30 PM. Everyone is welcome.
